WCC (Who We Are)
Hello Everyone!
The Wheeler County Crafters and it's Specialty Gift Shop is the realisation of a
dream.
I have lived here for a fair number of years; and for a lot of those years I have
wanted to open my own business but nothing seemed to click. But then, in the
summer of 2007, this project fell into my lap. To detail how I got to this point
would take a few pages. So I'll just say that I have been privileged to discover so
many talented and artistic people over the years that I wanted a place for that
enormous talent, hidden away in Wheeler County, to be displayed and made
available to everyone. These artists consign their works to the WCC Specialty Gift
Shop where I loving displays and care for them. To the right please find a rundown
of people that have their works in my humble shop.
But that's not all there is to WCC!
(And yes, there's more!) .........
Other gifts are available as well. Candles and Candle holders, model ships (I'm a
coastal girl, what can I say?), wind chimes, birdhouses, incense, natural soaps,
picture frames, just to name a few. I do have fossils from our local fossil beds that
are fascinating and can be had for a small donation. As of this writing, I am hoping
to bring in to my shop a nice selection of greeting and post cards, wine & beer,
specialty cigars, and more. Keep checking back to this site for updates!
Thank you for perusing my website! I hope you enjoy it!!

Consignment Prerequisites:
WCC accepts consignments primarily from Wheeler County but will gladly accept
consignments from surrounding counties and communities. Hand made items are
preferred but any unique gifts are welcome. WCC reserves the right to accept or
reject items offered for sale in our gift shop. Please contact Althea if you are
interested in placing your hand made work or gift items in the showroom.
About this Site:
We try very hard to be as accurate as possible with the information included in
this web site. If you find any incorrect or confusing information, please let us know
and we will make corrections as soon as possible.*
A Note about Fossils:
I have acquired fossils from our local fossil beds that I can gift on a donation basis.
However, fossils can be obtained by visiting the beds behind our very own Wheeler
High School. For a small fee, you can have access to dig and take home the fossils
you find! Visit or contact us for further information.
To Our Consignees:
I wish to say thank you to all my consignees who have placed hand made works in
my shop and for sharing their work with us, the residents of Wheeler County, it's
communities and now to the World Wide Web. The talent and hard work involved
in each piece is truly remarkable. Together we will show the world the unique
beauty found in Wheeler County. You are the Wheeler County Crafters!
